With freedom of choice in just about everything, a traditional church wedding does not suit everyone these days, while the laws governing Register Office and licensed venue weddings strictly control what can be said or done, and at what time of day. They are often off-the-shelf, usually having been read from a book to thousands of couples before, allowing no religious or spiritual content at all. And, alas, there is little or no contact beforehand between the couple and the person conducting the ceremony.

As a trained celebrant, Kay moves away from the restrictions imposed on licensed venues, conducting sincere, meaningful and fun ceremonies in a host of locations with every ceremony designed to suit the individual couple it’s created for.

The ceremonies are structured, can include spiritual, religious or non-religious readings/poems, and contain words and music that have real meaning to the couple involved. They can also include cultural, romantic or symbolic elements such as a wine ceremony, sand ceremony or wishing ceremony.

With many unlicensed and privately owned venues having no ‘set’ wedding ‘package’ – celebrations are tailor-made to suit – with couples often receiving much better value for money and very much more control over content, timings and how their day runs.

And for those getting married overseas, wanting to share their celebration with friends and family when they return home, this provides the perfect solution.

You may also prefer a ceremony of commitment without signing the marriage register (doing the ‘legal bit’) and this can also be arranged.
